SERVICES

I work with adolescents and adults who desire movement towards healing, inner peace, and well-being. This can mean learning to work with the very stress, anxiety and pain that is causing you discomfort. I believe you already have the strength and wisdom to heal that which is causing you to suffer. My goal as your counsellor is to provide a safe space for the cultivation of self-awareness so you can tap into your own inner wisdom to find meaning and healing.
Through our individual work together you will create a more meaningful relationship with yourself and transform your challenges into opportunities for growth and insight. My clients have improved outcomes like:
  • ability to manage and accept change,
  • ability to set boundaries in important relationships,
  • awareness and understanding of feelings,
  • capacity to manage emotions,
  • concentration,
  • direction and sense of purpose,
  • resilience to stress and ability to cope,
  • self-acceptance and self-awareness,
  • self-esteem and self-confidence and,
  • sense of calm and ease.
I offer a 20-minute complimentary initial consultation. Sessions are virtual or in person. I work with adolescents and adults.

In addition to offering counselling services, I am an Approved Clinical Supervisor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors. My integrative supervision model allows me to tailor guidance to the unique needs of each counsellor, seamlessly transitioning between roles as educator, counsellor, or consultant. Central to my philosophy is the belief that self-awareness and presence are key to effective clinical practice. In our work as counsellors, it's easy to feel the pressure to provide solutions, yet one of the most powerful tools we have is our presence. In my supervision, I emphasize the profound impact of being fully attuned and present with clients. Together, we’ll explore the importance of connection over solutions, trusting the therapeutic process, and the art of holding space without the pressure to offer more. Comprehensive support is offered across dimensions such as intervention strategies, conceptualization skills, and the personalization of therapeutic approaches.
If you’re seeking a supervision experience that honors the profound impact of presence and prioritizes the therapeutic relationship, I invite you to connect for a complimentary, 20-minute consultation to explore how we can collaborate on your professional growth.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a powerful, evidence-based approach to managing stress by cultivating mindfulness and present-moment awareness. Developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, MBSR empowers individuals to face life’s challenges with greater resilience, calm, and clarity. Through mindfulness meditation, guided movement, and focused attention, participants learn to observe their thoughts and emotions without judgment, fostering a non-reactive, accepting mindset.
The 8-week MBSR program includes engaging weekly sessions, a rejuvenating full-day retreat, and practical home exercises designed to seamlessly integrate mindfulness into your daily routine. Participants often experience increased self-awareness, improved stress management, and a deeper sense of well-being. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an effective and dynamic approach to therapy that promotes healing differently than traditional forms of talk therapy. It is known for its versatility, making it suitable for all ages and is one therapeutic approach that I offer to my clients both in person and virtually.
EMDR is an evidence-based therapy primarily designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories. Developed by Dr. Francine Shapiro in 1987, EMDR involves a structured protocol where clients briefly focus on distressing memories while engaging in bilateral stimulation, typically in the form of guided eye movements. This dual attention allows the brain to reprocess the traumatic memories, integrating them more adaptively and reducing their emotional charge.
Numerous studies have shown that EMDR is as effective, if not more so than, traditional talk therapies in reducing trauma symptoms. It has also demonstrated positive outcomes for individuals with depression, anxiety disorders, phobias, and other trauma-related conditions. The method's efficiency and client-focused nature contribute to its popularity as a therapeutic approach, providing individuals with a powerful tool for processing and overcoming the impact of distressing experiences. For more information, you can view this brief Introduction to EMDR Therapy video.
